Texas has no shortage of firearms instructors. It can be hard to narrow down what you’re looking for with so many choices. This week I sat down with one of those instructors, Mike Duff of Group 6 Training out of Dallas, Texas.

Mike served for 32 years as police officer including SWAT, narcotics and as a detective. He has been a firearms instructor in the Dallas area for over 20 years. He is an instructor for several police departments in the greater Dallas area and he’s been teaching civilians as well for the last seven years.

In the interview we get a chance dive into Mike’s training philosophies and what has formed those philosophies and methodologies over the years. Mike talks about what motivates him as an instructor, why he feels training is so important for police officers and citizens as well as continuing his training as an instructor.

Take a seat and enjoy our conversation.
